Hurtful Words

"A word is like a bee. While some produce honey, others leave stings"

Indeed, words have the ability to destroy us, to confuse us, and to linger for a very long time inside of us. When words are used incorrectly, they can inflict a lot of harm, and sometimes there is no turning back. It continues to exist within us, eat us, drain us and damages us. Although it may heal over time, but scars won't completely disappear

Hurtful comments have a negative effect on everything. This affects:
  • those who care about you
  • your relationship
  • career
  • religious belief
  • self esteem
  • your strength
  • mental health
  • causes rifts between close friends and family. A poor word choice can completely alter one's life.

Have you ever wondered why do people choose to make negative comments about us? Sometimes you just ask yourself "what did I do wrong?" Right? I ask myself that question a lot!
It can be hard to figure why someone would speak to you in such a way, but it's possible that they were trying to overcome their own fears or insecurities.

Though they may be said jokingly or out of honesty, but words can sometimes hurt a lot more if you think they are the truth. Honest words are not beautiful.

There are some words that damage and hurt, and there are words that damage but also help. The right use of such a word affects both of them. Think before you speak, words can sting!

Have you ever been the victim of harsh words from someone? Did it harm you or did it help?

  1. Someone said something to me some years ago I was really pained, but it helped me be a better person. It was a blessing in disguise.

  2. I feel most times there’s always a hidden message in every word being said to us .it’s either positive or negative
