Life is complicated. Mistakes happen, and secrets are kept. A new survey showed that 60% of people have at least one secret they don't want anyone to know about, and the majority of them have been holding it for at least 15 years! I'm not talking about the location of a favorite chill spot; these are secrets that people are afraid will have an impact on their life by influencing how others see them. Some things are beyond our control, such as a phobia or a family background, but people nevertheless feel ashamed enough to hide them from others.
Secrets are a common occurrence in human life. Almost everyone has a secret they'd like to keep hidden (though, of course, not all secrets are of the deep, dark variety).
THE BURDEN OF SECRECY
It can be exhausting to keep a secret. It is, in fact, exhausting.
The more heavy the secret and the more thinking devoted to it, the more perception and action were influenced in a way comparable to carrying physical weight. Secrets, like physical weights, drag people down.
Here are the top 10 most shady secrets:
- An affair
- Your web browser history
- An embarrassing incident
- Debt
- Obsession for sexual pleasure
- Something from your family's or personal history
- Truths
- A phobia
- You smoke or used to smoke
- Someone you have feelings for
The majority of us are concealing something we regard to be a terrible secret. Along with our own secrets, many of us also have access to the secrets of others!

It is better to just keep your secrets to yourself because finding someone you can trust with your secrets is really hard these days as they can also use it against you one way or the other.

Secrets should be one's business but shouldn't be kept away from crucial people cos it boomerangs when it gets leaked somehow somewhere.
